Dr. Maibrit Schamardin is a board-certified internal medicine physician and founder of Avalon Health Dr. Maibrit Schamardin is a specialist in internal medicine and the founder of Avalon Health Clinic, with nearly 20 years of experience as a physician. Over the past 8 years, she has focused on functional and preventive medicine, women’s health, and longevity. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu and the Institute for Functional Medicine in the USA. In her work, she combines science-based knowledge with a body–mind–spirit approach to identify the root causes of health issues rather than merely treat the symptoms. She has furthered her education in longevity medicine at conferences in Harvard, Dubai, and Singapore, and is a member of the international Healthy Longevity Medicine Society. Her main areas of focus include perimenopause, menopause, hormones, gut health, and nutrigenomics.
